When will the new billing and payment portal launch?
The new student account billing and payment portal is here as of April 28, 2026.
What changed on the new billing and payment portal?
Dynamic Billing:
The new system replaces static monthly billing statements with dynamic, real-time account updates.
Charges for tuition and fees will post to student accounts at the start of each semester (early August for fall, early January for spring, and early May for Summer Session) along with the due date. If you need a statement, you’ll be able to self-generate one at any time.
Payment Plans with International Payment Option
All Penn State students will be able to enroll in an installment payment plan every semester, including international students who will now have the option to use international payments via Flywire for installment payments.
Direct Deposit for Direct Parent PLUS Loan Borrowers
Parents who borrow a Direct Parent PLUS Loan will be able to receive refunds from excess funds via direct deposit—eliminating the wait for a mailed check.

How does Authorized User access work for families with multiple students at different institutions using Flywire?
Families with more than one student attending different institutions using Flywire can manage all accounts in Flywire through one Authorized User profile. To do this, the Authorized User must be added separately by each student at their own institution, using the same email address. This allows Flywire to link all students to one Authorized User account.
Once setup is complete, the Authorized User can log in through any participating school’s billing portal and easily toggle between students at different institutions from a single Flywire dashboard.
Your Penn State student can add you as an Authorized User by following these steps:
Log in to LionPATH (Student Home Base).
Select My Finances at the top of the page.
Click Manage My Account / Make A Payment to access the billing and payment portal.
In the Quick Links section, choose Authorized Payers and click Set Up Now. Important: Use the same email address the Authorized User uses for access at other institutions.
The Authorized User will receive an email with instructions to complete registration.
After registration, the Authorized User can log in through Penn State’s bill payment Authorized User login page and switch between students attending different schools.
Who do I contact if I am having trouble in the new portal?
