Book Charge Program

All registered Penn State students, with the exception of *World Campus students, are eligible to purchase textbooks and course materials from any Penn State Campus Store location or online through the Penn State Campus Store and charge those purchases to their student account. 

Students may charge up to $1,000 per semester for eligible textbooks and course materials.

The option to charge purchases to a student account is available through approximately 30 days after the start of the Fall and Spring semesters. 

Charges will be posted to the student's Penn State account and must be paid by the due date indicated on the account to avoid any applicable late fees or account holds.

*Penn State World Campus students may purchase course materials from MBS Direct/Barnes and Noble or from other vendors for Fall 2026 Semester. For more information, please visit the Penn State World Campus student website. Purchases made at MBS Direct/Barnes and Noble will continue to be paid at the point of sale.
